Ep 39. The Scheme Team

In Pokemon season 8 episode 39 titled "The Scheme Team," we see Ash, Brock, and May continuing their travels through the Hoenn region. The episode begins with the group arriving in a small town and noticing a poster advertising a Pokemon contest. They decide to participate and head to the contest location, where they meet a young girl named Nicolette.

Nicolette is excited to compete in the contest, and she shows off her Pokemon to Ash, Brock, and May. However, she is soon approached by three other trainers who introduce themselves as The Scheme Team. The Scheme Team tells Nicolette that they are big fans of her and ask if they can join forces with her to win the contest.

Nicolette accepts their offer, but it quickly becomes clear that The Scheme Team has ulterior motives. They use Nicolette's Pokemon as part of their scheme to cheat their way to victory in the contest. Ash, Brock, and May catch on to their cheating ways and confront them, but they deny any wrongdoing.

The contest's judges, however, notice the cheating and disqualify Nicolette and The Scheme Team. Ash, Brock, and May console Nicolette, who is heartbroken over the loss. They offer to help her train for the next contest and promise to stick by her side no matter what.

As the episode comes to a close, we see The Scheme Team devising a new plan to stay one step ahead of Ash, Brock, and May. Nicolette is determined to win the next contest with honor, and Ash and his friends vow to help her achieve that goal.
