Ep 2. Figure Four

In Quarry season 1 episode 2, titled "Figure Four," we see Mac Conway (Logan Marshall-Green) and his partner Arthur (Jamie Hector) trying to locate Suggs (Kurt Yaeger), who has become a liability to their boss, The Broker (Peter Mullan). Joni is hesitant to let her guard down and trust Ruth, but they start to bond over their shared experiences.

Back to Mac, he and Arthur try to pinpoint Suggs' location by meeting with Otto (Chris McGarry), a man who previously worked with Suggs. Otto reluctantly provides information, revealing that Suggs has now joined a wrestling group called Figure Four. Mac and Arthur attend one of Figure Four's shows, where they see Suggs participating as a wrestler. Suggs fails to recognize Mac and Arthur and the two ultimately end up kidnapping him.

As the episode progresses, we also see flashbacks of Mac's time in Vietnam. These flashbacks provide insight into Mac's character, and the events that led to his current state. As we see Mac struggling to make sense of his past, we also see him struggle to make sense of the present, as he tries to figure out what The Broker's true intentions are.

In the end, "Figure Four" leaves us with a cliffhanger, as we see Mac and Arthur deliver Suggs to The Broker. It is unclear what The Broker's plans for Suggs are, but we can assume that Mac and Arthur will be caught up in the ensuing chaos. The episode also ends on a somber note, as we see Joni struggling to cope with her loneliness and isolation in Memphis.
