Rune Soldier Season 1 Episode 5 Inexperienced Extracurricular Lessons

  • May 1, 2001

Melissa, Louie, and Merrill, the trio continues to travel and work together. In this episode, they arrive at a school of magic where Merrill intends to teach part-time. While the idea of having Louie and Melissa join as apprentices fills her with great confidence, she quickly realizes that neither has any magic skills. Despite this, Merrill decides to give them both a chance and begins to teach them the basics.

However, Louie and Melissa have different approaches to studying, and while Melissa excels in her studies, Louie struggles to even grasp the most basic spells. As a result, their extracurricular lessons become increasingly difficult for both of them as Louie struggles to understand the complex theory behind the spells.

The situation is not helped by Louie's tendency to mix up spells which causes chaos throughout the school. His lack of discipline results in many embarrassing situations for both him and Merrill. Melissa, on the other hand, takes things much more seriously and pours herself into her studies. She quickly becomes a top student, outperforming even some of the school's natural talents.

During their stay, the school is attacked by a group of thieves who are after the magical artifacts kept on the premises. Louie and his two friends take up arms to defend the school and its students, and a fierce battle ensues.

With Melissa's incredible magical skills and Merrill's knowledge, they are able to fend off the thieves. However, Louie, still struggling with his spells, almost causes disaster for the entire school. In the end, it's only with the help of his intense physical training and sheer strength that he is able to save the day and defeat the final thief.

Overall, this episode of Rune Soldier highlights the importance of hard work and dedication and how they can lead to success even for the most unlikely of apprentices. It also underscores the value of discipline and the consequences of not taking one's studies seriously. Finally, the episode portrays the importance of teamwork and how different skills and abilities are necessary to achieve a common goal.
