Jinei is a skilled fighter but he is also ruthless and believes that strength is the only thing that matters in a fight. He challenges Kenshin to a match, hoping to finally defeat his old rival.

Jinei scoffs at the boy's challenge, but Sonosuke's determination and skill soon becomes apparent. With Kenshin's guidance, Sonosuke unleashes his Futae no Kiwami, surprising Jinei and knocking him out.
The episode ends with Jinei leaving the dojo, defeated but still full of anger and resentment towards Kenshin. Meanwhile, Kenshin and his friends continue on their journey, with Sonosuke now determined to become a great fighter and master his Futae no Kiwami technique.
