Ep 62. Kyoto, the Engraved Memory - Begin with a Wish

As the episode opens, Kenshin and his friends are settling back into a peaceful life in Tokyo following their victory over Shishio and the Juppongatana. However, their peace is short-lived as new enemies emerge to threaten their way of life.

The first of these enemies is a group of rogue samurai from Kyoto, who have come to Tokyo seeking revenge against Kenshin and his friends for their role in the downfall of the shogunate. Among these samurai is Hajime Saito, a former member of the Shinsengumi and one of Kenshin's most formidable opponents.

As Saito and his allies begin to attack Kenshin and his friends, Kaoru and Yahiko are forced to flee to safety while Sanosuke stays behind to fight. However, even with Sanosuke's help, Kenshin and his allies are outnumbered and outmatched.

Just when all seems lost, Kenshin receives a mysterious letter inviting him to return to Kyoto, where a new threat is brewing. With no other options, Kenshin and his friends set out for Kyoto, where they once again encounter old enemies and must face new challenges.

As they explore the city, Kenshin and his friends learn that a shadowy organization known as the Jinchu is plotting to take revenge against Kenshin for his role in the downfall of their leader, Shishio. The Jinchu's plan involves targeting Kenshin's loved ones, including his mentor Hiko Seijuro and his wife Tomoe.

Filled with guilt and regret over his past actions, Kenshin realizes that he must confront his past in order to save those he loves. With the help of his friends and allies, Kenshin sets out to uncover the truth about the Jinchu and put an end to their plans once and for all.

As the episode comes to a close, Kenshin and his friends continue to explore Kyoto in search of clues about the Jinchu's plans. Meanwhile, Saito and his allies continue to pursue them, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown in the episodes to come.
