From there, the Sanzo party sets off on their journey once again, with Rin in tow. The group's dynamic is immediately established, with Genjo Sanzo serving as the stern leader, Son Goku as the eager but sometimes reckless fighter, Sha Gojyo as the flirtatious comic relief, and Cho Hakkai as the calm and collected mediator. Together, they face numerous obstacles as they try to reach their destination, including a run-in with a group of bandits and some unexpected enemies.

Throughout the episode, the animation is impressive, with vibrant colors and dynamic action sequences. The character designs are also notable, with each character having their own unique look and style. The music is also a highlight, with a rousing opening theme song and intense musical cues during the action scenes.
