The woman with snakes for hair, they soon learn, is the Gorgon - a mythical creature from Greek mythology that could turn anyone who looked at her to stone.

As the investigation deepens, they learn that the strange disappearances are linked to the Gorgon somehow. The creature seems to be taking the souls of innocent people, and the nursing home's residents are the perfect targets. Sarah Jane and her companions feel a mounting sense of dread as they realize that they're up against something far more dangerous than they initially thought.
