Sarah Jane Adventures season 1 episode 4, titled "Eye of the Gorgon, Pt. 2," continues where the previous episode left off with Clyde and Luke trying to save Sarah Jane and Maria from being turned to stone by the Gorgon's gaze. They hide behind a mirror and the Gorgon turns herself to stone by looking at her own reflection. However, the hexagram breaks in the process and the Gorgon is now a free agent again.
Meanwhile, Alan and Chrissie Jackson, Maria's parents, are also under the Gorgon's spell. The kids go to their house to rescue them, but they end up getting trapped by the Gorgon who wants to turn them all into stone.
As the situation becomes more dangerous, Sarah Jane discovers that the Gorgon's weakness is a flower called the Medusa Cascade, which has the power to neutralize the Gorgon's gaze. She and the kids set out to find the flower and destroy the Gorgon once and for all.
Their search leads them to a nursing home where the flower is kept in a greenhouse. The owner of the home, Bea Nelson, was once part of a group that had tried to stop the Gorgon from coming to Earth in the first place, and had kept the flower safe ever since. However, the Gorgon finds them and the group is trapped in the greenhouse, with the Gorgon closing in on them.
With no other option, Sarah Jane uses the flower to neutralize the Gorgon's gaze, but in the process, she turns herself to stone. The kids are devastated, but Luke has an idea and uses his alien healing powers to reverse the petrification, saving Sarah Jane's life just in time.
As the episode ends, a grateful Bea Nelson agrees to let Sarah Jane and the kids take the Medusa Cascade with them, but Sarah Jane reminds them that the universe is full of dangerous creatures, and that they must always be prepared to face them.
"Eye of the Gorgon, Pt. 2" is an exciting conclusion to the two-part story arc, full of action, suspense and heart. It explores themes of courage, sacrifice and the importance of teamwork, and showcases the special bond between Sarah Jane and the kids as they face danger together.
The episode also introduces new elements to the series, such as Luke's alien powers and the Medusa Cascade flower, which will have repercussions in later episodes. Overall, "Eye of the Gorgon, Pt. 2" is a thrilling adventure that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats and leave them wanting more.
