Seirei no Moribito Season 1 Episode 9 Thirsty Shuga

Balsa and Chagum arrive in Rota as the water crisis deepens. The drought has worsened, and there is not enough water for the people of Rota. The people of Rota claim that the drought is a curse, and blame Chagum for their troubles. Balsa and Chagum find themselves in the middle of a tense situation, as the villagers are angry and violent.

Balsa and Chagum encounter Shuga, a woman who claims to be a water diviner. Shuga is a mysterious woman with the power to find water in the most barren of places. The villagers believe that Shuga can help them, and so they turn to her for guidance. But Shuga has a secret agenda, and Balsa and Chagum soon find themselves caught up in her plans.

As they explore Rota, Balsa and Chagum discover the true extent of the water crisis. The wells have run dry, and the only source of water is the river. The river is guarded by the hunters, a group of men who are fiercely protective of the water. The hunters are the only ones who are allowed to draw water from the river, and they are not willing to share it with anyone else.

Balsa and Chagum soon learn that Shuga has made a deal with the hunters. In exchange for finding water, Shuga has promised to deliver Chagum to them. The hunters believe that Chagum is the cause of the drought, and they want him dead. Balsa and Chagum are forced to flee Rota, with the hunters hot on their trail.

As they ride through the countryside, Balsa and Chagum encounter Tanda, an old friend of Balsa's. Tanda is a herbalist, and he offers to help them. Tanda tells them that he knows a way to get to the river without passing through the hunters' territory. Balsa, Chagum and Tanda set off on a dangerous trek through the mountains, where they are confronted by deadly beasts and treacherous terrain.

Finally, they reach the river, where they are ambushed by the hunters. Balsa and Tanda fight off the hunters while Chagum watches in horror. In the end, they manage to escape, and return to Rota with the water they have collected.

As they leave Rota, Balsa reflects on the people's desperation and willingness to believe in anything that will save them from the drought. She realizes that the people need hope more than anything else, and wonders what the future holds for them. Chagum, meanwhile, is more determined than ever to discover the truth behind the drought, and to help his people in any way he can.
