Sleeper Cell is a television series on the Showtime network and is a one hour drama. It is considered an action thriller. It stars Michael Ealy, Henri Lubatti, Oded Fehr, and Melissa Sagemiller. The first season has the tagline Friends. Neighbors. Husbands. Terrorists. The second season tagline was Cities. Suburbs. Airports. Targets. On the first season DVDs the extra material included revealed that the show was named The Cell originally.

This dramatic television series was nominated for the Outstanding Miniseries Emmy award and began airing in 2005 on December 4. Sleeper Cell: American Terror the first episode of the second season aired on December 10, 2006. Both seasons were filmed ahead of time entirely and then aired on consecutive nights so that it took less than two weeks for each season to be fully aired. Sleeper Cell also aired in Australia on the Showtime channel. It aired in 2006 and 2007.

  • On the heels of successfully thwarting the attack on the Hollywood Bowl, Darwyn grapples with the loss of Gayle and his failure to stop Mina?s suicide bombing in Las Vegas. Upon receiving new intel on Farik?s whereabouts, Darwyn plots a trap for Farik ? using the terrorist leader?s wife as bait.

  • The day of reckoning has arrived. The Cell members prepare to launch the attack, even as the FBI springs its trap. As Salim escapes the dragnet to exact revenge, Mina and Gayle confront their destiny alone in the desert. Tragedy mars Darwyn?s victory as the Cell reveals one last surprise.

  • A new terrorist leader takes over the planned nuclear attack on Los Angeles and keeps Darwyn in the dark about the specifics; Mina goes on a mission that endangers Gayle; in Yemen, Farik turns the tables on an idealistic American philanthropist; Ilija's Bosnian homecoming is a disappointment.

  • Darwyn Al-Sayeed is a Muslim ex-con who has just been released from prison and finds his way to an Islamic extremist named Farik, who recruits him to join a terrorist sleeper cell planning an attack in Los Angeles.
