Ep 2. Following the Sound of Your Heart

Shirayuki reaches the neighboring country of Clarines after escaping from Tanbarun and decides to settle down there. She manages to establish herself as an herbalist and meets the prince of Clarines, Zen, who is impressed with her determination and hard work. The two of them soon become friends and Shirayuki catches the attention of Zen's older brother, Prince Izana.

In episode 2, "Following the Sound of Your Heart," Prince Izana summons Shirayuki to his chambers to have a discussion with her about her relationship with Prince Zen. Shirayuki becomes nervous as she has no idea why the prince would want to speak to her, but Zen assures her that there is nothing to worry about.

When Shirayuki enters the room, Prince Izana begins to ask her a series of questions to determine her intentions towards Zen. Shirayuki is initially hesitant to answer as she is unsure of what exactly the prince wants to hear, but later decides to speak the truth.

She tells Prince Izana that while she does have feelings for Zen, she is determined to build her own life and is not looking to be seen as just a girl who is reliant on a prince. She wants to be respected for her own abilities and wants to work hard to make a name for herself.

We also get to see her expertise as an herbalist in action as she helps cure a sick girl, further cementing her place in Clarines.
