Spider-Man (1981) season 1 episode 7 named The Pied Piper Of New York Town follows the adventures of Peter Parker, a mild-mannered photographer who secretly goes by the name of Spider-Man. In this episode, a strange figure known as the Pied Piper arrives in New York City and begins playing his enchanted flute, causing the citizens of the city to follow him blindly. As chaos ensues throughout the streets, Spider-Man must team up with a group of scientists to stop the Pied Piper before he can lead the whole city to its destruction.

The episode begins with Peter Parker taking photographs of a parade in downtown New York City. As he makes his way through the crowds, he notices a group of school children following a man playing a magical flute. Suddenly, the man disappears and the children begin behaving erratically, causing Peter to suspect that something strange is happening in the city.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, a group of scientists are studying the effects of soundwaves on a laboratory animal, when they too are suddenly overcome by the hypnotic music of the Pied Piper. With the scientists now under his control, the Pied Piper uses their equipment to amplify his flute and spread his influence across the city.

As Spider-Man swings through the city, he comes across a distraught man whose family has also fallen under the Pied Piper's control. As they search for a way to stop the villain, they are approached by the group of scientists, who explain that they have developed a device that can neutralize the soundwaves of the flute.

With the device in hand, Spider-Man and the man he's helping set off to find the Pied Piper. As they make their way through the city, they encounter groups of people blindly following the sound of the flute, causing chaos and destruction in their wake.

Finally, they come face-to-face with the Pied Piper, blasting their device in his direction. The Pied Piper, meanwhile, has amplified his flute to such a level that it can create earthquakes, and the ground begins to shake beneath their feet.

As the two sides battle it out, Spider-Man uses his webbing to shield himself and the man from the blasts of sound coming from the Pied Piper. Finally, the device manages to cancels out the soundwaves of the flute, freeing the minds of those under its control.

With the Pied Piper defeated, the city begins to come back to normal. Spider-Man swings off into the night, watching over the city and ready to face whatever dangers may come next.
