Ep 1. Fly the Unfriendly Skies

Bob Newhart, a successful psychologist, is the protagonist of "The Bob Newhart Show." He operates a practice from his apartment in the heart of Chicago, where he sees patients on a weekly basis. The first episode, "Fly the Unfriendly Skies," introduces us to Bob's quirky yet endearing personality.

Eventually, she tracks Bob down to a remote hang-gliding club, where he's about to take part in a dangerous stunt.

The rest of the episode follows Emily's efforts to convince Bob to return to his practice and conquer his fear of flying. Through a combination of her love and support, as well as a confrontation with a patient who also struggles with anxiety, Bob is able to overcome his fears and return home to Chicago.
