To rid the house of the negative energies and spirits, Amy performs a cleansing ritual while Steve arranges for an archaeological survey to be conducted on the property in hopes of uncovering evidence of the cult's activities. The team also reaches out to the local police department to investigate the potential involvement of the university.
In the end, Amy and Steve are able to provide the owners with the assurance that the house is now safe to live in. They believe that the cleansing ritual was successful in removing the malevolent spirits from the home and that the trapped woman's spirit has been released. However, the investigation also sheds light on the disturbing history of the house and leaves the owners with a newfound sense of unease about the property.
