The Great Food Truck Race is back with an all-new episode titled "Beat Me in St. Louis" for season 5. In this episode, the four remaining food truck teams come to St. Louis and set up shop at the famous Gateway Arch. The teams must come up with their own unique twist on classic St. Louis dishes like toasted ravioli and gooey butter cake.
The teams are given a quick lesson on how to make toasted ravioli, which is a St. Louis staple. They must then create their own version of the dish to sell to customers. The teams are also given a chance to earn extra cash by completing challenges throughout the day, including finding a hidden ingredient and winning a trivia contest.
As the day progresses, tensions rise as the teams scramble to make sales and outdo each other with their unique twists on St. Louis favorites. One team takes a risk by creating a completely vegan version of toasted ravioli, while another team decides to add a spicy kick to their gooey butter cake.
However, when a sudden storm hits, the teams are forced to pack up early and head to the next location. They arrive in a new city and face a surprise elimination challenge. The teams must create a dish using a discontinued product from a popular food brand, with the losing team being sent home.
The pressure is high as the teams race against the clock to come up with a creative dish using the mystery ingredient. Will the teams be able to rise to the challenge and impress the judges, or will they fall short and be sent home?
Join host Tyler Florence to find out which team will come out on top in this intense episode of The Great Food Truck Race.
