Ep 7. The Beauties and the Beasts

Arslan continues his journey to retrieve his kingdom and is faced with yet another obstacle in the form of the Lusitanian army, who have captured a city and its citizens. Although the young prince is determined to rescue the innocent civilians, he is also warned of the dangers and the potential bloodshed of such an endeavor.

Meanwhile, in the Lusitanian camp, we see Queen Tahamine of Pars sign a contract to sell her daughter, Alfreed, into marriage with a Lusitanian nobleman. In the same scene, we are introduced to Hilmes, a masked man who has been hired to help the Lusitanians conquer Pars.

As the Lusitanian army celebrates their victory, we see a stark contrast in their treatment of their captives. While some soldiers mercilessly torture and kill the civilians, a group of female prisoners are being treated well and given food and water.

This group of women includes a dancer named Farangis, who quickly catches the attention of the Lusitanian General Bodin. Despite her imprisonment, Farangis uses her skills in dancing and combat to distract and defeat her captors.

With the help of fellow prisoner, Gieve, and his musical talents, Farangis is able to create a diversion that allows them and the other prisoners to escape. However, their escape is short-lived as they are quickly pursued by the Lusitanian army.

In a thrilling battle scene, Arslan and his companions come to the rescue and aid in the prisoners' escape. Amongst the chaos, we see the true horrors of war as innocent lives are lost and soldiers turn on their own.

The episode comes to a close with Arslan, who has once again risked his life for the people of Pars, realizing the true cost of war and the moral dilemmas that come with it.
