George Jetson is excited to take Jane to the annual Miss Solar System beauty pageant, but things don't go as planned when their daughter Judy decides to enter the competition herself. Judy's entry causes tension within the Jetson family, as George and Jane worry that their daughter might not be able to handle the competitive nature of the pageant.
Meanwhile, the pageant's organizer, the nefarious Mr. Gotrox, is determined to rig the competition in favor of his own contestant, the snobbish and entitled Mavis Melrose. When George and Jane discover his plot, they try to stop him by alerting the other judges and exposing Mavis's true personality flaws.
Throughout the episode, Judy faces challenges both on and off the stage, from dealing with the sneaky tactics of her fellow competitors to reconciling with her father after a heated argument. Ultimately, though, she proves herself to be a worthy contestant in her own right, and shows that true beauty comes from within.
As always, the Jetsons' futuristic gadgets and gizmos play a major role in the episode, from the self-driving flying car that takes them to the competition to the high-tech cameras and voting systems used to judge the contestants.
Overall, "Miss Solar System" is a fun and lighthearted episode that touches on themes of competition, family, and the importance of inner beauty. With its colorful animation, catchy theme song, and memorable characters, it's no wonder that The Jetsons remains a beloved American classic even decades after its original airing.
