The Kandi Factory is a reality documentary television series that airs on the Bravo channel starring Kandi Burruss who is a singer/songwriter. Kandi is a platinum selling and Grammy award winning member of the R&B group Xscape. Kandi has written hit songs for such groups like Destiny's Child and is said to have a unique eye for talent. On this show, Kandi is on a mission to help sixteen aspiring artists achieve their dreams of success in the music industry. The goal is to find artists with that special superstar quality in them that is waiting to explode. The Kandi Factory captures Kandi's journey in finding these young artists who seem to have the drive and motivation to succeed, but just need a little of Kandi's magic to do the trick. The show entails rigorous recording sessions along with precise choreography. The lessons that the contestants undergo are pivotal. The show goes through the process of turning an amateur into a professional who is ready for stardom. With due process, the contestant who convinces Kandi and her team that they are ready for the next step in their musical career will be awarded with an official cosign by Kandi. This opportunity includes a their very own song and video. The music, creativity, and swagger that the contestants project will ultimately decide their fate. The contestants come from all over the United States in droves to showcase their unique set of skills to obtain the license to be a superstar. From California to Texas and through Rhode Island, the physical and mental attributes of the contestants vary in more ways than one. The work ethic of the contestants are tested in ways like never before. Kandi and her team intend to prove that there is nothing sweet inside The Kandi Factory.
