Tony Randall and Jack Klugman star in the classic sitcom "The Odd Couple" as roommates Felix Unger and Oscar Madison, respectively. In season 2 episode 15, titled "Security Arms," the duo finds themselves in a bit of a pickle when they attempt to improve the security of their apartment building.
After a string of burglaries, Felix and Oscar decide they need to take matters into their own hands and beef up the building's security. They decide to install a security door and beef up the locks on all the doors in the building. However, as with most things involving the odd couple, things do not go according to plan.
The episode has plenty of comical moments as Felix and Oscar try to work together to complete their security project. Oscar quickly becomes frustrated with Felix's nitpicking and insistence on doing everything "by the book." Meanwhile, Felix gets annoyed with Oscar's lack of attention to detail and cavalier approach to the project.
Their disagreements come to a head when they realize that in their haste to install the security door, they forgot to install a peephole. Felix insists they can't have a security door without a peephole, while Oscar argues that they've already spent too much time and money on the project.
Their argument is interrupted when they discover that the door has become stuck and won't open. They panic, realizing that they've locked themselves out of the building, with no way to get in.
The rest of the episode is a hilarious series of attempts by Felix and Oscar to break back into their own building. They try everything from climbing the fire escape to trying to pick the lock with a hairpin. Of course, none of their attempts are successful, and they end up getting into even more trouble than they started with.
Overall, "Security Arms" is a classic episode of "The Odd Couple" that showcases the comedic genius of Tony Randall and Jack Klugman. It's a lighthearted and fun episode that will have viewers laughing from start to finish.
