Watch The People's Champions

A reality-style television program, it follows the public defenders of the Portland public defender's office. They are enlisted to represent clients who cannot afford an attorney and are therefore provided one by the state. One of these public defender's is Ari, who is representing multiple clients in the first episode. A man who was arrested for public intoxication is being charged by the state, but Ari is preparing a defense where he argues that the man was simply off of his anti-psychotic medications and did not consume any substances. He also represents a woman who is accused of shoplifting designer clothes.
