Jim Rockford finds himself once again embroiled in a mystery, as he is hired by a wealthy businessman to investigate a fraud scheme involving a popular children's toy. The businessman, Irving, is known for his eccentricities and obsession with bizarre historical facts, which prompts Rockford to nickname him "Irving the Explainer". As Rockford delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deception and corruption that threatens not only his client's reputation, but his own safety as well. With the help of his trusty associates including his father Rocky and his friend Angel, Rockford races against the clock to solve the mystery and clear his name before it's too late. Along the way, he becomes entangled with an assortment of quirky characters, including a streetwise kid who may hold the key to the puzzle and a menacing thug who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Despite the odds against him, Rockford remains determined to uncover the truth in his own inimitable style, using his wits and grit to outsmart his adversaries at every turn. As the plot thickens and the stakes get higher, Rockford proves once again why he is one of the most iconic detectives in television history.
