Symbiotic Planet is an animated science-fiction movie from FUNimation. The movie revolves around a crew of three astronauts, who work for an organization known as the Global Environment and Energy Network (GEEN). The main character of the movie is a woman named Io, who is a biologist specialising in symbiotic relationships between different organisms.

The movie is set in the near future, where humanity has begun to colonize other planets in our solar system. However, the environmental damage caused by the rapid expansion of human civilization has put a tremendous strain on the limited resources of our planet, and it has become clear that without a radical shift in our mode of living, we will inevitably face a global catastrophe.

In this context, GEEN has been established as an organization that seeks to find sustainable solutions to the challenges facing humanity. This is where Io and her crewmates come in - they have been tasked with exploring the Moon Titan, a satellite of Saturn that is believed to be rich in resources that can be utilized to support human life.

As the crew of the spacecraft Hesiod travels to Titan, Io reflects on the journey that has brought her to this point. She is haunted by the death of her mentor, Dr. Marcus Rashid, who had dedicated his life to understanding the complex relationships that exist between different organisms in the biosphere. Rashid's ideas had been dismissed as idealistic and impractical by the scientific establishment, but Io had been inspired by his vision of a world where humans live in harmony with nature.

On the journey to Titan, the crew is attacked by a mysterious organism that appears to have infiltrated their ship. Io manages to capture a sample of the organism, and begins to study it in order to better understand its nature.

As the crew approaches Titan, they discover that the moon is not the barren wasteland that they had expected it to be. Instead, they find a thriving ecosystem, where different organisms have evolved to survive in the harsh conditions of the moon.

One of the most fascinating creatures that they encounter is a giant floating organism that resembles a jellyfish. Io is awestruck by the immense complexity of the organism's biology, and begins to realise that the organism is not just a passive inhabitant of the moon, but is actively participating in the ecosystem.

As the crew begins to explore the moon, they encounter a group of humans who have been living in a colony on Titan for several years. The colonists are initially suspicious of the crew, but eventually they form an alliance in order to fend off a dangerous threat to their survival.

The main conflict in the movie arises from the differing perspectives of the colonists and the GEEN crew. While the colonists have learned to live in harmony with the native organisms of Titan, the crew is focused on extracting resources from the moon in order to support the needs of the growing human population.

Io is torn between her loyalty to GEEN and her growing understanding of the complex relationships that exist in the ecosystem of Titan. She also begins to suspect that the mysterious organism that attacked their ship is not an alien invader, but a native creature that is fighting to defend its ecosystem from human intrusion.

Overall, Symbiotic Planet is an intriguing exploration of the challenges facing humanity as we continue to expand into the cosmos. By placing the emphasis on symbiosis and cooperation rather than domination and exploitation, the movie offers a compelling vision of a future where humans are able to live in harmony with the natural world.
