In the first episode of Top Chef season 15, titled "It'll Take More Than Pot Luck," sixteen talented chefs from all across the United States gather in Denver, Colorado to compete for the coveted title of Top Chef. The contestants are introduced and get to know each other over a potluck dinner before receiving their first challenge.
Host Padma Lakshmi and head judge Tom Colicchio gather the chefs in the kitchen of their first challenge, which is to create a dish that represents their culinary point of view. The chefs have 45 minutes to prepare and plate their dishes for the judges to taste.
As the chefs work frantically to prepare their dishes, tensions run high and personalities start to clash.
