The Tower of Druaga: The Sword of Uruk is a Japanses anime television series and is the second season of the Tower series, the first simply being called, The Tower of Druaga. The show is based upon an old and successful arcade game wherein the player played as King Gilgamesh who sought the mystical blue crystal rod at the top of the Tower of Druaga which is ruled over by the demon-god, Druaga himself, a ominous and fear-inspiring entity (Druaga is based off of the Zoroastrian god of the same name who is the god of devils). The goal is to get the rod and use its power to rescue the princess of Ishtar. The first season of the show follows very closely to this story arc. The second season however takes place a year and a half after the events of the first and follows Jil, a young guardian from a foreign land who seeks to climber the tower to confront ghosts from her past that haunt her.
