They were left wondering what their purpose truly was.

While the Dinobots are off, trying to find answers to their existential questions, the Autobots, who are still in Central City, are trying to deal with the Decepticons alone. They had been planning for the Decepticons' attack for a long time, and they are equipped to deal with it. What they had not been prepared for was the Dinobots' desertion.

Soon, the Decepticons discover that the Dinobots are no longer with the Autobots. They believe this to be the perfect opportunity to attack. The Autobots are caught off guard and are quickly overrun by the Decepticons. The Decepticons, who are filled with the lust for power, are delighted with their victory.

Meanwhile, the Dinobots, who are still grappling with their feelings of betrayal, are discovered by the Quintessons. The Quintessons are a race of strange, tentacled alien beings who had created the Dinobots. The Quintessons offer the Dinobots new programming that will make them even more powerful than before. The Dinobots, feeling lost and unsure of their place in the world, accept the offer.

With the Dinobots now reprogrammed, they set out to find the Autobots and join forces with them once again. The Autobots and the Dinobots face off against the Decepticons in a final showdown. The Autobots are at a disadvantage, as they are still recovering from the earlier attack, but with the Dinobots now on their side, they may yet prevail.
