Ep 3. Sky High Spa

In the third episode of Treehouse Masters' first season, titled "Sky High Spa," renowned treehouse builder Pete Nelson and his team venture to Saugerties, New York to build a luxurious treehouse spa for a couple who are passionate about nature and relaxation.

The clients, Cindy and Jeff, own a beautiful 100-acre property that sits at the base of the Catskill Mountains. They have a creek running through the land and an old apple orchard that they have been restoring to its original state.

Cindy and Jeff have a vision for the perfect peaceful retreat where they can relax, rejuvenate, and soak in the beauty of nature on their property. They come to Pete with their dream of a treehouse spa that sits high up in the trees, offering a view of the creek and the mountains.

Pete and his team jump at the chance to turn this dream into a reality. They begin by scouting out the perfect tree to serve as the support structure for the spa. After carefully assessing the tree's strength and stability, they begin building a custom platform for the spa to sit on.

The treehouse spa's design is based on a Japanese-style bathhouse, complete with a cedar soaking tub, a sauna, and a shower. The exterior of the treehouse is clad in cedar shingles, adding to the rustic feel of the structure.

As the construction of the treehouse spa progresses, Pete and his team face a number of challenges. One of the biggest challenges is getting the massive cedar soaking tub up into the treehouse. The tub, which weighs over 600 pounds, needs to be hoisted up 30 feet to the treehouse platform. With some creative problem-solving, the tub is eventually secured in place and the rest of the treehouse is completed.

The finished treehouse spa is a stunning work of art. It is a peaceful sanctuary nestled in the trees, a place where Cindy and Jeff can unwind and connect with nature. The spa's elevated location offers a breathtaking view of the creek and the mountains, adding to the overall sense of tranquility and relaxation.
