Vampire Princess Miyu is an anime series that follows a girl named Miyu who is a guardian, protecting the world from rogue Shinma, supernatural beings that feed on human blood. In season 1 episode 6, titled "The Ghost of Miyu," Miyu comes across a mysterious girl who reminds her of someone from her past.
The episode opens with Miyu on a train, traveling to a new town to investigate a series of disappearances. As she walks through the empty streets, she senses a powerful presence nearby. She follows the energy to a deserted mansion, where she sees a young girl in white standing outside.
Miyu approaches the girl and asks her name, but she does not respond. The girl disappears, leaving behind a lingering scent of roses. Miyu remembers that the scent is similar to that of a woman she encountered in the past, a woman who was important to her.
As Miyu searches the mansion for clues, she is attacked by a group of Shinma. She fights them off easily, but realizes that they were working together to distract her from something else. Miyu continues her investigation and finds a hidden room in the mansion. Inside, she discovers a diary written by the owner of the mansion, a former Shinma hunter named Koji.
Through the diary, Miyu learns that Koji had been investigating a Shinma named Genta, who had been preying on the town and causing the disappearances. Koji had been gathering information about Genta, but had not been able to find him. Miyu realizes that the mysterious girl she saw earlier must be connected to Genta.
Miyu leaves the mansion and begins to search for Genta. She runs into the mysterious girl again, but this time, the girl leads her to a cemetery. Miyu finds Genta there, surrounded by his victims. Genta reveals that he has been using the girl as a decoy, luring Shinma hunters to their deaths.
Miyu fights Genta, but he proves to be a formidable opponent. While they battle, Miyu learns that Genta was the one who had killed the woman she had once cared for. The discovery fuels Miyu's anger and intensifies her desire to defeat Genta.
In the end, Miyu overpowers Genta and kills him. As she stands over his body, she thinks of the woman from her past and wonders if she would be proud of what she has become. Miyu leaves the cemetery, knowing that her duty as a guardian will never end.
