Ep 3. The Big RV Adventure

The show Welcome to the Family follows the story of two families, the Yoder family and the Hernandez family, who are brought together when their teenage children, Junior and Molly, announce that they are pregnant and getting married. In season 1 episode 3, entitled "The Big RV Adventure," the two families embark on a road trip together in a giant RV.

The episode begins with Dan and Caroline Yoder (Junior's parents) and Lisette and Miguel Hernandez (Molly's parents) packing up the RV for their trip. They are all excited to spend some quality time together and bond as a family. However, tensions rise when it becomes clear that they all have different expectations for the trip. Dan wants to drive all the way to Yellowstone National Park in one day, while Caroline wants to make frequent stops along the way to see the sights. Lisette wants to plan out every minute of their trip, while Miguel just wants to relax and enjoy the ride.

As they set off on their journey, the families begin to experience some of the challenges of traveling together in an RV. The cramped quarters and lack of privacy start to wear on them, particularly when it comes to bathroom usage. There are also some mishaps along the way, such as Junior accidentally setting the microwave on fire and Lisette spilling coffee all over the RV's interior.

Despite these challenges, the families try to make the best of their trip. They stop at a roadside attraction called "The World's Largest Ball of Twine" and take silly pictures together. They also have a barbecue at a campsite and bond over s'mores and campfire stories. However, the tensions between them continue to simmer beneath the surface.

When they finally reach Yellowstone, things come to a head. Dan and Caroline want to take the RV on a tour of the park, while Lisette wants to hike one of the trails. Miguel, meanwhile, just wants to stay behind and relax. As they argue over what to do, Junior and Molly suddenly go into labor, throwing everything into chaos.

The families rush to the nearest hospital, where Junior and Molly give birth to healthy babies. In the hospital waiting room, they all have a heart-to-heart about the challenges they've faced on the trip and the importance of sticking together as a family. They realize that, despite their differences, they all love each other and want what's best for Junior and Molly and their new grandchildren.

In the end, the families return home, tired but happy. They've learned a lot about each other on their big RV adventure, and they're ready to face whatever comes next together.
