Hannibal is a psychological thriller that is loosely based on the Thomas Harris novel by the same name and is directed by Ridley Scott. It was filmed on location in both the United States and Italy with an all-star cast that includes Anthony Hopkins, Julianne Moore, Gary Oldman, Ray Liotta and Giancarlo Giannini. Hannlbel is the sequel to the award-winning movie Silence of the Lambs.

U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Clarice Starling has tried to regain her life after tracking down one of the most prolific serial killers in history, Hannibel Lecter. That was 10 years ago, and she had managed to accomplish that until she is used as the scapegoat for a botched drug raid. Now she is forced back into the public's attention, and a new nightmare is about to begin.

Mason Verger was left disfigured and paralyzed, but he is the only surviving victim of Hannibal Lecter. He went on to be very successful in life, and now he is ready for revenge. When he notices agent Starling on the nightly news, he remembers the strong connection that she had with Hannibal. In order to flush Hannibal out of hiding, Mason uses his influence and wealth to have agent Starling put back on the case.

Agent Starling is once more assigned to track him down, and now she must get to him before Mason Verger can inflict his revenge. It does not take long before Hannibal contacts agent Starling, even if it is just a taunting letter on her latest drug-bust mishap. It is on that letter that she notices a unique fragrance, and she discovers that this cologne is sold in only a very few boutiques around the world.

After contacting the police departments in these cities, Florence, Italy, stands out from the rest. There is a library curator that mysteriously disappears after a new assistant curator started working. Agent Starling heads off to Italy hoping to apprehend Hannibal but little does she know; Mason Verger is hot on her heels.

Abigail and her father are hunting. He helps guide her with the gun. She shoots once, twice, and the deer falls. She expounds the things she has learned about deer—how they are as smart as a four-year-old. Her father agrees they are like people. He reassures his daughter they will honor her, and none of her will go to waste.
