Krypto the Superdog is an animated television series that aired on Cartoon Network from 2005 to 2006. The show stars a super-powered canine named Krypto who defends the fictional Metropolis from various villains and threats. The voice of Krypto is provided by Scott McNeil, a prolific voice actor known for his work in numerous animated series, including Beast Wars: Transformers, ReBoot, and Dragon Ball Z. Krypto's sidekick, a young boy named Kevin, is voiced by Brian Drummond, another veteran voice actor with credits that include Dragon Ball Z, Death Note, and Mobile Suit Gundam.

Other voice actors who lent their talents to the series include Tabitha St. Germain (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), Nicole Oliver (Littlest Pet Shop), Michael Dobson (Transformers: Armada), Brian Dobson (Transformers: Energon), Dale Wilson (Inuyasha), Ellen Kennedy (Stargate SG-1), Kelly Sheridan (Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse), Mark Oliver (Sabrina: The Animated Series), Michael Daingerfield (Sonic X), Peter Kelamis (Dragon Ball Z), Samuel Vincent (Johnny Test), Terry Klassen (Beast Wars: Transformers), Trevor Devall (Mobile Suit Gundam), Leslie Carrara (Sesame Street), Will Friedle (Batman Beyond), Alberto Ghisi (Yvon of the Yukon), and Nicole Bouma (George of the Jungle).

The series follows the adventures of Krypto and Kevin, who live in suburban Metropolis with Kevin's family. Krypto has all the powers of Superman, including flight, super strength, and heat vision. However, he is also susceptible to the same weaknesses as his Kryptonian master, such as exposure to kryptonite.

Krypto and Kevin are often called upon to save their city from various villains and threats, both from Earth and beyond. Among their foes are the feline super-villainess Catwoman, the intergalactic conqueror Darkseid, and the evil scientist Ignatius, whose inventions often go awry with disastrous consequences.

Despite the show's focus on action and adventure, it also contains a strong element of comedy. Many of the episodes revolve around Krypto's attempts to fit in with Kevin's family and hide his true identity from them. This often leads to humorous misunderstandings and awkward situations.

Krypto the Superdog also features a colorful and diverse cast of supporting characters, including Ace the Bat-Hound, Superman's loyal canine companion; Streaky the Supercat, a stray feline who gains superpowers through exposure to Kryptonite; and the Dog Stars, a group of intergalactic canines who are Krypto's allies and occasionally his rivals.

Overall, Krypto the Superdog is a fun and entertaining animated series that appeals to both children and adults. Its combination of action, humor, and heartfelt moments make it a beloved classic of the superhero genre.

Krypto the Superdog is a series that is currently running and has 2 seasons (39 episodes). The series first aired on March 25, 2005.
