Ep 8. Missing Links

In Mystery Diners season 10 episode 8, entitled "Missing Links," the team is called to investigate a mini-golf course in Florida. The owner, Dave, believes that his employees are stealing golf balls and equipment to sell on the side. The Mystery Diners go undercover as golfers to see if they can catch any wrongdoing.

The team begins their investigation with a round of mini-golf. As they play, they notice that some of the holes are missing golf balls. They also observe a few employees whose behavior seems suspicious. One employee, in particular, named Jeff, is seen sneaking around the course and hiding behind obstacles. The Mystery Diners take note of this and make a mental note to keep an eye on him.

Next, the team speaks with Dave to get some background information on the employees. Dave reveals that Jeff has been with him for a long time and has always been a good worker. However, he admits that he's been having financial troubles lately and wonders if that has anything to do with the missing golf balls.

After their conversation with Dave, the Mystery Diners decide to do some more investigating. They notice that Jeff is not only stealing golf balls but also selling them to a nearby pawn shop. They also discover that he's been stealing other equipment, like putters and scorecards, and selling them as well.

The team decides to confront Jeff and bring him in for questioning. He denies any wrongdoing at first, claiming that he's never stolen anything from the mini-golf course. However, when confronted with the evidence, he admits to taking the golf balls and equipment to sell them for extra cash.

The Mystery Diners report back to Dave, who is understandably upset. However, he praises the team for their work and thanks them for uncovering the truth. He decides to fire Jeff immediately and put measures in place to prevent any similar incidents from happening in the future.

In the end, the mini-golf course is able to continue operating without any further issues. The Mystery Diners are able to walk away with another successful investigation under their belt.
