Ep 10. Hawaiian Club Crashers

In season 8 episode 10 of Mystery Diners, titled "Hawaiian Club Crashers," the Mystery Diners team are called in to investigate the staff at the Kona Club in Oakland, California. The Kona Club is a popular tiki bar and music venue that has been struggling to keep up with the competition, and the owner, Farley, suspects that there may be some foul play involved.

Farley has noticed a decrease in revenue, and believes that his bartenders may be over-pouring drinks and giving them away for free. He also suspects that one of his bartenders, Johnny, may be stealing from the bar. To get to the bottom of these issues, the Mystery Diners team sets up hidden cameras and sends in undercover diners to get the inside scoop on what's really going on.

The first undercover diner is Tiffany, who poses as a customer looking to throw a birthday party at the Kona Club. Tiffany is greeted by bartender Johnny, who offers her a drink on the house. Tiffany also notices that he seems to be over-pouring drinks for other customers. Later, a group of Mystery Diners pose as a bachelorette party and are served by another bartender, Connie. They notice that Connie is also over-pouring drinks and may be stealing from the bar.

The Mystery Diners team also investigate the kitchen, where they suspect that the chef, Rocco, may be adding additional items to customers' bills. To test this theory, they send in another undercover diner, Kevin, who orders a few appetizers and a drink. Sure enough, when he receives his bill, he notices that he has been charged for extra items that he did not order.

Throughout the episode, the Mystery Diners team gathers evidence and interviews the staff at the Kona Club. They discover that there's more going on than just over-pouring drinks and adding items to bills. One of the bartenders has been giving away free drinks to her friends, while another has been stealing cash from the register. The chef has been adding extra charges to customers' bills and pocketing the cash.

At the end of the episode, the Mystery Diners team presents Farley with their findings. He is shocked by the extent of the staff's misconduct, but also grateful for the team's help in getting to the bottom of the issue. With the evidence gathered by the Mystery Diners, Farley is able to make the necessary changes to ensure that his bar is running smoothly and employees are held accountable for their actions.
