Oprah's Lifeclass

Oprah's Lifeclass, a United States prime time television show, is both produced and hosted by Oprah Winfrey, on the Oprah Winfrey Network, also known as OWN. The initial episode came out on October 2011, at 8 pm EST. The second season began in March, 2012. Her third season aired July, 2012. Early on, the show premiered Monday nights, then switching to Sundays.

The show concept and format are unique and engaging. This is an authentic self-help television program that highlights its producers insights, life lessons and revelations from the last quarter century, with the intent to help one live a more rich, happy, and fulfilling life. Every episode focuses on a key lesson or concern which instructs the audience in living their best lives. Winfrey herself, in addition to her various guests, discuss reflections and concepts relevant to each topic, which often includes interviews with individuals whose experiences are pertinent here. It's an international show and guests link with Oprah re Twitter, Skype, her website, or on Facebook.

Her first season began with nightly webcasts after the show, on her website, to accompany each televised lifeclass lesson. In addition, she was accompanied by an expert or teacher, in discussion of each topic. However, following the first week, Iyanla Vanzant, relationship expert, joined Oprah, in a commentary session, as a webcast. During season two, the show went on the road, entitled a tour, and was joined by a panel of spiritual healers. Then, Oprah tweeted that she was going back to Chicago for season three, and it would be live. She also went to several other venues, and included Rick Warren and Joel Osteen as guest hosts.

Some topics and lessons from past shows, as well as dealing with spiritual issues, included, appropriate handling of the ego, managing anger, confronting and being freed by truth, and a primer of beliefs and attitudes formation. The Lifelessons show has received or been nominated for several awards, to include the NAACP and NAMIC Vision.
