On the Speed Channel since 2006, "Payback" is yet another reality show centered around the concept of paying it forward. Since it's on the Speed Chanel, naturally, it deals with cars. Celebrities help out, or "pay back" someone special in their lives by tricking out an unique new vehicle custom selected for their significant person.

Each episode begins with the celebrity talking about the person who helped them in the past and they are paying back. Episodes proceed to the new vehicle, then to the procedures the team put together by the celebrity takes in tricking the vehicle up for their pay back person.

Set in the well-known Wheel to Wheel Detroit auto facility, each episode ends with the heartwarming presentation of the new vehicle to the lucky person from the celebrity's past. Some of the famous people paying back their friends, family or mentors include Jay Leno, Jamie Pressly, Tim Allen, Robert downey Jr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
