Ep 29. Hook, Line and Sucker

In the 29th episode of the second season of Storage Wars, titled "Hook, Line and Sucker," the auction bidders head to Costa Mesa, California, where they hope to hit it big with some abandoned storage units. Darrell and Brandon, known as "The Gambler" and "The Young Gun," respectively, are back on the scene, along with Barry Weiss, Dave Hester, and Jarrod and Brandi Schultz, known as "The Young Guns."

The first unit up for auction is a 10x20-foot unit, with some promising items visible from the door. Darrell and Brandon start the bidding at $200, and it quickly jumps up to $2,000. The bidding continues, with Jarrod and Brandi and Dave Hester fighting to outbid each other, but in the end, Darrell and Brandon come out on top with a bid of $3,600.

The unit is not disappointing, with a fishing boat and tackle box visible right from the door. As they dig deeper, they find a vintage Coke machine and a rare panther sculpture that they believe could be worth big bucks.

Meanwhile, Barry Weiss has his eye on a unit that he thinks could contain some valuable antique items. He jumps in the bidding war, but quickly realizes he may have made a mistake when he finds only old clothes and shoes in the unit. He cuts his losses and moves on to the next unit.

The next unit up for auction is a 10x25-foot unit that looks promising from the start. Dave Hester jumps in with a bid of $500, but Darrell and Brandon quickly outbid him with a bid of $1,000. The bidding continues, with Jarrod and Brandi joining in, bringing the price up to $2,200. In the end, Darrell and Brandon secure the unit with a bid of $2,700.

The unit is full of surprises, including a vintage Corvette and a collection of vintage bicycles. They also find a collection of original artwork that they believe could be worth big money. Dave Hester, on the other hand, has struck out so far, with nothing but old magazines and books in his unit.

As the day comes to a close, all of the bidders head back to their stores to start assessing their new treasures. Darrell and Brandon are thrilled with their finds, but the real test comes when they try to sell them and make a profit.
