Watch The X-Files
The X-Files is the original, scientific investigation television program, with a paranormal, sci-fi twist. This creation of Chris Carters, takes viewers into the paranormal, as FBI agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny), a psychological profiler, searches for the truth in a realm entrenched in government conspiracy theories, known at the X-files; FBI cases that have elements that are unexplainable: UFO's, mythical creatures, possessed dolls (an episode co-written by Steven King), and humanoid serial kills, just to name a few. While the rest of the bureau find Mulders theories spooky they still feel the need to keep an eye on him; enter FBI agent Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson).
Scully is a former medical student, who is as skeptical as she is intrigued by Mulders theories. While their views of the world often clash, the dynamics of his fantastical theories, to her scientific logic, gives the series a nice balance, while also maintaining an air of mystery and intrigue.
Each episode, in the early seasons of this show, addresses Mulders belief in the government conspiracy theory, and Scully skepticism of Mulders beliefs, but the deeper Scully and Mulder dig into the X-files the more questions they have, and viewers learn that there maybe some truth to Mulders fantastical theories.
WIth these truths, comes deception as the stakes get higher. Trusted informants are murdered, people they thought they could trust are apart of the conspiracy, Mulder and Scully's lives are threaten, truths and lies about their own personal histories are revealed and those closest to them fall victim to an organization, that is trying to keep these secrets hidden.
These circumstances help bond these co-workers, as Mulder and Scullys relationship gradually turns, over the course of 9 seasons, from platonic friends to romantic lovers, and skeptical Scully becomes a believer.
The X-Files is about the quest for the truth, and the courage to accept that "The Truth Is Out There".

David Duchovny has a point: when 20th Century Fox has a homegrown franchise like "The X-Files" that can make a profit on a limited budget, why not make a third movie? He said that he and co-star Gillian Anderson are both strongly in favor of a third big-screen installment.
While YouTube is going back to 1911 with their April Fool's Day prank, remaking famous viral vids as silent films, Hulu is taking us back to the good (bad) old days of watching videos on line in 1995, complete with low-res photos, frames, "Chicago Hope" and "Kids in the Hall." The website's home page is stuck in 1995, where the hottest thing on the small screen was the tension between Mulder and Scully, and "NewsRadio" was around feautring the dearly departed Phil Hartman (RIP, buddy).
