In season 1 episode 6 of 24 Hour Restaurant Battle, titled "Battle of the Home Cooks," four pairs of home cooks are challenged to create a restaurant concept and menu in just 24 hours. Each pair is given $1,000 to shop for ingredients and is provided with a space to host their pop-up restaurant. Finally, best friends Felicia and Tameka create an Asian-inspired restaurant called "East Meets South." Their menu features dishes such as Korean BBQ tacos, shrimp and grits with a soy glaze, and green tea ice cream. The judges appreciate their unique flavors and fusion concept, but note that some of the dishes are overly sweet and could benefit from more balance.

After tasting all of the dishes and evaluating each pair's restaurant concept, the judges declare a winner: Michael and Margarita with their restaurant concept "Fuego." They are praised for their bold flavors and cohesive menu, which successfully combines Latin and Asian influences. However, the other pairs receive constructive feedback and are encouraged to continue pursuing their culinary dreams.
