As the ninth episode in season two of A Certain Scientific Railgun starts, we see Mikoto Misaka worrying about her latest encounter with Therestina Kihara Lifeline, who managed to escape once again after their last battle. Meanwhile, Ruiko Saten and Uiharu Kazari discuss the urban legends about people getting their abilities stolen by a mysterious stalker with an AIM dispersion field.
As the episode progresses, Saten notices that some of her classmates have been acting strangely, and she starts to suspect that they have fallen victim to the stalker. However, their pursuit is complicated by the fact that the stalker uses the stolen abilities of others to escape and fight back.
Despite the odds against them, the team manages to corner the stalker, who is revealed to be a teenage boy named Haruki. They quickly discover that Haruki was not acting alone, as he was being manipulated by a mysterious figure who had promised to give him special abilities in exchange for doing his bidding. The team manages to apprehend Haruki and use his testimony to track down the mastermind behind the operation.
As the episode draws to a close, Mikoto receives a tip-off regarding the whereabouts of Therestina and decides to confront her once again. The final scene sets the stage for an intense showdown between the two characters, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next episode.
Overall, AIM Stalker is an action-packed and suspenseful episode that touches on some of the darker themes present in the show. Fans of A Certain Scientific Railgun will appreciate the intense action scenes and the well-crafted mystery surrounding the AIM stalker.
