In season 1, episode 5 of All Girls Garage, the ladies take on a new challenge with a 2015 Ford Mustang GT. This isn't just any Mustang, though - it's a RTR (Ready to Rock) Stang, which means it comes with a host of performance upgrades designed by drifting superstar Vaughn Gittin Jr.
Mechanic Bogi and her co-hosts, Rachel and Cristy, are tasked with installing a new suspension system and brakes on the RTR Stang to improve its handling and stopping power, as well as giving it a more aggressive stance. They start by removing the stock suspension components and replacing them with a set of Eibach lowering springs and shocks. This lowers the car's ride height and stiffens up the suspension for better cornering.
Next, the trio tackles the brakes. The stock brakes on the Mustang GT are pretty capable, but for a car that's designed for high-speed drifting, they need to be even better. Bogi and Rachel install a set of Wilwood big brake calipers and rotors on the front and rear of the car, which will provide better stopping power and resist fade during hard use.
After the suspension and brake upgrades are complete, the ladies turn their attention to the aesthetics of the RTR Stang. They install a new carbon fiber hood, which will reduce weight and improve engine cooling, and also add some visual flair with a set of custom hood vents. They also install a new exhaust system from Magnaflow, which will give the Mustang a more aggressive growl.
Finally, the All Girls Garage crew finishes off the RTR Stang with some new wheels and tires. They add a set of 20-inch Forgestar CF10 wheels, which are lightweight and strong, and wrap them in Falken tires for maximum grip.
Overall, the modifications made to the RTR Stang on this episode of All Girls Garage represent a substantial upgrade to an already impressive performance machine. The new suspension, brakes, and exhaust will all help to improve the car's handling and performance, while the visual upgrades give it a more menacing look. If you're a fan of Mustangs or just like seeing badass cars get even more badass, this episode of All Girls Garage is a must-watch.
