Ep 3. 1967 GTO Convertible

As soon as the engine startup on the 1967 GTO convertible, the ladies of All Girls Garage knew they had a big project on their hands. This iconic muscle car was a bit of a mess, but it had a ton of potential. The main challenge of this restoration was going to be finding replacement parts that were true to the GTO's original design.

The team dove in, beginning with the body work. They replaced the rusted metal on the body and repaired the car's frame. Mechanically speaking, the GTO needed a lot of work. The engine and transmission were both in rough shape, but thanks to Jessi's expertise, the ladies knew what they had to do. They removed the engine, replaced the heads and pistons, and upgraded the camshaft. They also did some work on the transmission, rebuilding it to make sure it was up to par. With the engine and transmission back in place, Jessi connected the car's wiring and got it ready to roll.

Of course, no muscle car restoration would be complete without some finishing touches. The ladies spent hours polishing and buffing the GTO to make it shine like new. They also added new decals and painted details onto the car to make sure it was true to its original design.
