Ep 9. Kisses, Breasts, and Ponytails

The show Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts follows the daily lives of students in Fumizuki Academy, where they are ranked based on their grades and assigned to classrooms corresponding to their ranks. The students have the ability to summon beings called "Avatars" to battle each other, with the winner receiving more resources to improve their classroom.

In their battle, Yoshii realizes that Himeji's Avatar, Mysterion, is weak against attacks from behind. He comes up with a plan to take advantage of this weakness and defeat Class B in their upcoming battle.

As Class F prepares for their battle, they run into Class A's representative, the beautiful and confident Yuuji. Yuuji flaunts her physical assets and boasts about Class A's superiority, causing Class F to become even more determined to beat them.

During the battle with Class B, Class F implements Yoshii's plan and defeats them with ease. They are thrilled with their victory, but their celebration is short-lived when they realize they only earned a few measly points. They also find out that Class A has won all of their battles and is miles ahead of the other classes.

Back in the classroom, Yoshii is still trying to win Himeji's heart by offering to carry her books and even giving her a forehead kiss. However, she is distracted by the upcoming midterm exams and doesn't seem to appreciate his gestures.

The episode ends with a mysterious student, Shouko, approaching Yoshii and inviting him to study with her. Yoshii accepts, but Himeji looks on jealously from afar. The stage is set for more romantic and Avatar-filled shenanigans in the next episode.

Overall, "Kisses, Breasts, and Ponytails" is a lighthearted and comedic episode that showcases the quirky personalities and unique abilities of the students in Fumizuki Academy. While the show's premise may seem silly, it manages to strike a balance between humor and heart, with underlying themes of friendship, loyalty, and self-improvement.
