In this episode of Beat Bobby Flay, titled "Double Trouble," two chefs team up against the Iron Chef extraordinaire to take him down. The first competitor is Chef Dariany Santana, a Dominican chef who now resides in Miami, while the second is Chef Mimi Chen, a French-trained chef from New York City.
Chef Dariany is known for her bold flavors and vibrant presentations, inspired by the Caribbean cuisine she grew up with. She plans to prepare a seafood dish paired with a bright herb salad, cooked with coconut milk and other flavorful ingredients. Chef Mimi, on the other hand, is a master of classic French technique, and she chooses to make a lobster dish infused with herbs and finished with a rich cream sauce.
As the time ticks down, both chefs race to complete their dishes and deliver them to the judges' table for tasting. Meanwhile, Chef Mimi decides to make a salmon dish with a creamy dill sauce, complete with crispy skin and perfectly cooked fish.
