In Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations season 5 episode 3, host Andrew Zimmern travels to the beautiful city of Venice to explore the unique and diverse cuisine of this stunning city. Venice is famous for its canals, art and architecture, and rich history, but it also has a reputation for its delicious food and wine.

Andrew starts his journey in Rialto Market, a bustling and busy hub of the city, which is home to some of the freshest seafood and produce in the world. Andrew meets with local fishermen, who show him the best catches of the day, including beautiful red shrimp and cuttlefish. He also samples some of the famous Prosecco wine, which is made in the nearby region of Valdobbiadene.

Next, Andrew heads to a restaurant to sample some of the traditional Venetian dishes. He tries the famous black squid ink risotto, which is a local favorite, as well as the sarde in saòr – a dish of marinated sardines and onions. Andrew also has a taste of the famous Venetian dessert – tiramisu, which he describes as "heaven in a spoon."

Andrew then heads to a local bakery, where he samples some of the best pastries and bread in Venice. He tries the famous focaccia bread, which is made with olive oil and salt, and also tries some sweet pastries, including the bussolai – a traditional cookie that is shaped like a donut.

The next stop on Andrew's journey is a restaurant that specializes in cicchetti – the Venetian version of tapas. He tries a variety of small plates, including marinated sardines, fried squid, and creamy cod brandade. Andrew also samples the famous Venetian cocktail – the spritz – which is made with Aperol, sparkling water, and Prosecco.

Andrew's final stop on his culinary tour of Venice is a visit to a local chocolatier. He samples some of the delicious chocolates, which are made with a variety of different flavors, including figs, nuts, and spices. Andrew also tries a traditional Venetian drink – the hot chocolate, which is thick and creamy, and perfect for a cold day in the city.

Throughout the episode, Andrew showcases the diverse and unique cuisine of Venice, and highlights the incredible ingredients and flavors that make this city such a food lover's paradise. From the fresh seafood to the traditional pastries and desserts, this episode is a celebration of the delicious cuisine of Venice.
