Ep 8. The Hour to Suppress the Princess

Back on the deserted Island, Mahiro and Junichiro run into a group of soldiers who are trying to capture Yoshino and Hakaze. The two groups engage in a fierce battle, which results in Mahiro being separated from Junichiro. In the ensuing chaos, Hakaze is captured by the soldiers, and Yoshino barely manages to escape with his life.

Meanwhile, on the Tree of Exodus, Hakaze meets the princess of the Tree, who reveals to her that the Tree is in a state of crisis. The Tree is gradually losing its power, and if it goes on like this, the world will come to an end. The only way to stop the destruction is to sacrifice the princess.

Hakaze pleads with the princess, explaining that if she sacrifices herself, she will never get the chance to marry, have children, or even live a normal life. However, the princess is insistent that her duty is to the Tree, and she is prepared to make the sacrifice.

As Yoshino and Hakaze continue their journey to find Mahiro and Aika, they are ambushed by black-clad soldiers. In the ensuing battle, Hakaze tries to convince Yoshino to go on without her, saying that she will hold the soldiers off as long as she can. Yoshino is hesitant, but Hakaze insists. As Yoshino departs, Hakaze is captured by the soldiers.
