In the latest episode of Carnival Eats season 7, called "The Devil Wears Pasta," host Noah Cappe is on a mission to explore the wild and wacky world of carnival cuisine. From deep-fried pizza to giant turkey legs, there's no shortage of bizarre and delicious foods to try.
The episode kicks off with a visit to the annual Got to Be NC Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina, where Noah discovers a truly unique twist on a classic Italian dish: deep-fried lasagna. This crispy, cheesy treat is a crowd favorite, and Noah can't resist giving it a taste.
Next, Noah heads to the Ohio State Fair in Columbus to check out some seriously spicy eats. He tries a fiery bacon-wrapped jalapeno popper that's not for the faint of heart, as well as a flaming-hot pizza topped with ghost peppers, habaneros, and other fiery goodness.
But if you think that's hot, just wait until Noah reaches the next carnival: the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix. Here, he samples the hottest hamburger in town, topped with ghost pepper cheese and jalapeno jam. And if that's not enough to make your taste buds tingle, he also tries a spicy Mexican street corn and a habanero-soaked watermelon.
After all that heat, it's time for something sweet. Noah heads to the Florida State Fair in Tampa, where he tries a unique dessert that combines two carnival classics: funnel cake and churros. This sweet treat is loaded with cinnamon sugar and smothered in a sweet cream cheese frosting, making it the perfect way to cap off a day on the midway.
Of course, no visit to a carnival would be complete without some classic carnival food, and Noah doesn't disappoint. He tries a foot-long corn dog at the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul, where the batter is made with spicy jalapenos for an added kick. And at the Alaska State Fair in Palmer, he samples some of the freshest seafood around, including a tasty halibut taco.
Throughout the episode, Noah also takes time to chat with the vendors behind these delicious creations, learning about their inspiration and techniques for making their carnival food stand out from the rest.
"The Devil Wears Pasta" is a fun and exciting episode of Carnival Eats that's sure to make your mouth water. From spicy to sweet, this carnival food adventure has something for everyone, and will leave you craving a visit to the midway!
