Cold Case Files Season 1 Episode 11 Killer on the Strip/Doll Murder

Beatriz's body was found in a trash can behind a convenience store, bound and gagged with rope and duct tape. The startling discovery of a naked Barbie doll in the trash can alongside the body leads Detective Bob Haliburton to believe that the killer may have an obsession with dolls and children.

Haliburton conducts extensive interviews with neighbors, family members, and friends of Beatriz, leading him to a suspect with a history of kidnapping and rape. With the help of DNA evidence, Haliburton is able to connect the suspect to the crime scene and bring him to justice over a decade later.

The episode highlights the tireless work and dedication of law enforcement in solving cold cases, even years after the crimes have been committed. The families of the victims finally receive closure and justice is served for those who have been gone for too long.
