In this episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, host Guy Fieri takes us on a culinary journey to some of the most fully loaded restaurants in America. From Texas-style burgers to fully loaded pizzas, Fieri samples some of the most decadent and flavorful dishes the country has to offer.
The first stop on the fully loaded tour is B52 Burgers and Brew in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Fieri meets with owner Mike Lundeen to try their famous 5-8-10 burger, a patty topped with bacon, cheese, a fried egg, onion rings, and jalapenos. Fieri also samples their duck fat fries and beer cheese soup, all made from scratch in-house.
Next, Fieri travels to Austin, Texas to visit Pinthouse Pizza, where he meets with head chef Joe Fazio to try some of their fully loaded pizzas. The first pizza on the menu is the Armadillo, topped with pork shoulder, jalapenos, and onions. Fieri also samples the fully loaded Commander pizza, topped with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
Fieri's third stop on the fully loaded tour is Southgate Brewery in Oakhurst, California. Here, Fieri meets with owner and head brewer Rick Boucke to try their fully loaded Southgate burger, topped with a fried egg, bacon, avocado, and chipotle aioli. Fieri also samples their award-winning beer and takes a tour of the brewery.
The fourth stop on the tour takes Fieri to G. Michael's Bistro & Bar in Columbus, Ohio. Chef and owner David Tetzloff shows Fieri how to make their famous Chicken 'n' Waffles, a fully loaded dish featuring fried chicken and waffles topped with spicy maple syrup and bacon. Fieri also samples their bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo and goat cheese.
Fieri's final stop on the tour is the Ship's Inn in Northport, New York. He meets with owner and chef Jonathan Chiera to try their fully loaded seafood dishes, including their famous lobster mac and cheese, loaded with fresh local lobster and creamy cheese sauce. Fieri also samples their clam chowder and oyster po' boy sandwich.
