In the 6th episode of season 15 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives the host, Guy Fieri, travels to the east coast to explore some comfort food spots. The episode features four different restaurants from different parts of the east coast that specialize in classic dishes that warm the soul.

The first stop is in Boston, Massachusetts, at a restaurant called Joe's American Bar & Grill. This spot is known for its signature lobster roll. Fieri gets to see the process of how they make their famous lobster roll, which includes using fresh lobster meat and grilling the buns to add an extra layer of flavor. Fieri is impressed with the quality of ingredients used in the dish and the love that goes into making it. Next on the list is Lambertville Station in Lambertville, New Jersey. This restaurant is housed in an old train station, which makes for a unique dining experience. The dish that Fieri highlights here is the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup. The sandwich is made with a homemade sourdough bread and three different types of cheese. Fieri raves about the combination of the gooey cheese and tangy tomato soup. He also tries their strawberry rhubarb pie, which he describes as "heavenly."

The third stop is at Carl's BBQ in Houston, Texas. This restaurant is a family-run business that has been around since the 1940s. They specialize in BBQ and Fieri gets to see how they smoke their brisket and ribs. He notes that the meat is so tender it falls off the bone. Fieri also tries their homemade sausage, which he says has the perfect amount of spice. He finishes off with their classic banana pudding, which he describes as a "perfect ending" to the meal.

The last stop on the episode is at a restaurant called The Classic Diner in Malvern, Pennsylvania. This spot is known for its comfort food with a gourmet twist. Fieri gets to try their mac and cheese, which is made with a blend of six different cheeses. He also tries their short rib hash, which features tender beef and crispy potatoes. Fieri finishes off with their bread pudding, which he says is "out of this world."

Throughout the episode, Fieri also gets to learn about the history of the restaurants and the passion that goes into creating their dishes. He also gets to meet the owners and chefs and hear their stories.
