In the fifth episode of season 2011 of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, host Guy Fieri travels to four different restaurants, each with their own unique twist on classic dishes. The first stop on his journey is to a small restaurant in El Paso, Texas called L and J Cafe, where they serve up traditional Mexican dishes with their own special flair. Guy tries their famous green chili enchiladas and chicos tacos while chatting with the family who runs the restaurant.

Next, Guy heads to Voula's Offshore Cafe in Seattle, Washington. This Greek-inspired breakfast and lunch spot is known for its gigantic pancakes and massive omelets. Guy tries the "so full" of berries pancake and a spicy feta and egg scramble while chatting with owner Voula.

After that, Guy travels to Flip's in Sacramento, California. This burger joint takes classic burgers and turns them on their head with unique toppings and flavor combinations. Guy tries the Jiffy Burger, made with peanut butter and bacon, and their unique "Pork belly part II" burger while chatting with owner Chef Flip.

Lastly, Guy visits a restaurant in Portland, Oregon called Por Que No Taqueria. This authentic taqueria prides itself on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create unique and delicious dishes. Guy tries their signature shrimp tacos and a refreshing watermelon agua fresca while chatting with owner Bryan.

Throughout the episode, Guy gets to know the owners and chefs of each restaurant, learning about their inspirations behind their dishes and the history of their businesses. With his signature enthusiasm and love for good food, Guy discovers some truly unforgettable twists on classic dishes.
