In the 10th episode of the 44th season of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, host Guy Fieri takes viewers on a culinary journey through his hometown of Ferndale, California. From small mom and pop shops to popular local hangouts, Guy showcases the diversity of flavors and dishes that make Ferndale a foodie destination.

The episode begins at the iconic Ferndale Meat Company, where Guy meets up with owner and butcher Jake Hansen. Jake shows Guy around the shop, explaining the process of how the meats are cured and smoked, and even gives him a taste of their famous bacon.

Next, Guy visits the Golden Gait Mercantile where he meets up with owner Dawn Elsbree. The store is a hub for locally made goods, and Dawn shares with Guy some of the unique products that Ferndale has to offer, like the local honey and jams.

Guy's next stop is The Ivanhoe, a historic bar and grill that has been a Ferndale institution since 1911. Owner James Gaddis shows Guy how they make their signature burger and fries, and even shares some secrets about the 100-year-old bar.

From there, Guy heads over to Curley's Grill, a 1950s-style diner with a menu full of classic American fare. Owner George Mantoan talks to Guy about the history of the diner, which has been family-run for over 50 years, and Guy gets a taste of their famous biscuits and gravy.

Later, Guy visits another local institution, The Blacksmith Shop, where he meets up with owner Bill Chino. Bill shows Guy how they make their signature prime rib, as well as their famous Bloody Marys.

Guy's final stop is the Lost Coast Brewery and Cafe, where he meets up with owner Barbara Groom. Barbara shows Guy around the brewery and talks about the unique brewing process they use to create their award-winning beers.

Throughout the episode, Guy showcases the diverse range of flavors that make Ferndale a foodie's paradise, from the savory meats at Ferndale Meat Company to the classic diner fare at Curley's Grill. With his signature enthusiasm and love for food, Guy gives viewers a taste of the unique flavors of his hometown, and proves that Ferndale is a destination worthy of a culinary pilgrimage.
